Using the EL Matrix for Making Informed Decisions
This workshop will guide school teams through the powerful English Learner (EL) Matrix, a collaborative tool designed to help teams make more informed and appropriate decisions for struggling English
learners. We will explore how to move beyond basic test scores and delve into a comprehensive, student- centered approach. You'll learn to analyze and synthesize critical data-including parent input, academic
testing, observations, and progress monitoring data-to get a deeper understanding of a student's needs. By the end of this workshop, participants will be equipped to use the EL Matrix to determine whether
an EL student requires a specific intervention or if a special education referral is a more appropriate path.
2 Day workshop includes lunch both days and the Book "The ELL Critical Data Process"
