Orientation Schedule

Substitute Teacher Orientation

All prospective OSTS substitute teachers are required to attend a Substitute Teacher Orientation prior to employment. The orientation includes a presentation, followed by an individual check-out process with an OSTS representative. The total length of orientation may vary depending on class size.

After you have reviewed the schedule listed to the right, you must click on the date of choice to register. If you have any questions, please call our office at 216.446.OSTS (6787).

We will need the following items:

  • 2 forms of original ID (and a copy of each) – For example, a Driver’s License and Social Security Card, Driver's License and Birth Certificate, or a Passport
  • Copy of current sub/teaching license
  • Copy of FBI and BCI background check results (within the past year) – If needed, this can be done at orientation. The cost and form of payment vary by location. This information will be included when you select a registration date.
  • A voided check or letter from the bank with account information for payroll
  • Copy of official transcripts (only needed if we need to sign off on a substitute license)
