Cheryl Clifford serves as a Regional Literacy Specialist on the State Support Team for Region 3 (SST3) at the Educational Service Center (ESC) of Northeast Ohio. She has over 33 years of experience in education, including 30 years with the Bedford City School District. In Bedford, she was an intervention specialist focusing on grades 3 - 8 with a concentration in reading/language arts. As well, Cheryl was a leading member of the Heskett Middle School Literacy Leadership Team where she assisted in the development and execution of an MTSS framework for literacy initiatives. Before joining Bedford, Cheryl worked as an Intervention Specialist for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, focusing on grades 1-3.
Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her husband, Eric, and their brood of six adult sons and one grandson. Reading, hiking, skiing, and traveling are a few of her extracurricular hobbies. Cheryl is passionate about literacy and holds a strong belief that all students can learn and succeed.
