Sydney Gruhin Regional Instructional Implementation Coordinator
Biographical Information:

Sydney is the Regional Instructional Implementation Coordinator and coordinates the Regional Implementation Team’s support for districts implementing High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM) in literacy throughout 14 counties within the East region. She will be working with identified and volunteer districts to coordinate learning walks, data collection, and support action planning, while addressing the challenge of ensuring consistent implementation and alignment across ESC, SST, and ReadOhio teams. 

Drawing on experience as a middle school teacher, instructional coach, building principal, and school improvement consultant, Sydney brings a data-specific, instructional, and systems-level lens to her work. She brings experience supporting districts and school teams through continuous improvement, instructional coaching, professional learning, and data-informed decision-making. Her background in education, special education, literacy, mathematics, and school improvement provides the expertise needed to coordinate implementation efforts, support learning walks and data collection, and help teams translate findings into meaningful action plans.

Sydney will partner with districts through a collaborative, supportive approach that prioritizes building relationships, understanding local needs, and coordinating resources across implementation teams. She works alongside district and school teams to facilitate learning walks, gather and analyze implementation data, and use findings to identify strengths, address challenges, and develop actionable next steps.
