Jamie Smith is a Teaching and Learning Consultant with the Educational Service Center (ESC) of Northeast Ohio, where she partners with districts to strengthen instructional systems and leadership practices. Her current work focuses on supporting leaders and teams in navigating complex, adaptive challenges—such as literacy implementation aligned to the Science of Reading, instructional coherence, and equitable systems that foster staff and student belonging—so that structures and practices accelerate outcomes for all students.
Jamie brings over two decades of experience as a classroom teacher and school administrator, including service as an elementary and middle school principal, assistant principal, athletic director, and classroom teacher. Her career spans multiple states and contexts, providing her with a broad, adaptable perspective that informs her systems-level consulting, leadership coaching, and professional learning design and lesson-delivery techniques.
