Bob Glavan is the co-founder of the NEO Science Specialists Network, which was first launched during the 2016-2017 school year.  He provides professional development, classroom coaching, and curriculum expertise in K-12 Mathematics AND Science.  Bob is consistently on the ground in these area school districts: Brooklyn, Cuyahoga Falls, East Cleveland, Fairview Park, and Richmond Heights.  In addition, he facilitates professional development by request in several districts, including Avon Lake, Medina, and North Olmsted.

Bob Glavan’s teaching career spanned over 32 years in Mentor and Perry (Lake County), bridging both Math and Science.  As the department teacher leader at Perry High School from 1999 to 2014, he acquired the innovative skill set that has served him well at the ESC of NEO, having implemented initiatives from the Schlechty Center, UBD, PBL, mastery learning, and standards-based grading, among others.  In addition, Bob brought real-world applications into his classroom through his summers working as an electroplating technician at Gould Electronics (1989-2000) and as an adjunct chemistry instructor at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant (2001-2017).
