Christy spends most of her time assisting districts and agencies with developing effective practices and processes related to special education and student supports. This work includes writing Evaluation Team Reports and Individualized Education Programs, conducting Functional Behavior Assessments, and providing co-teaching training and coaching to ensure students are supported in their Least Restrictive Environment. At the ESC, she also serves as the facilitator for the Northeast Ohio School Psychologist Network. Christy recently co-developed training focused on assessing and teaching executive skills.

Christy is a school psychologist and has also served school districts as a special education supervisor and director of special education. Across these roles, she has gained a broad range of experience in special education and district leadership, which she draws upon when collaborating with districts and agencies.

School psychologists are resource psychologists, trained to understand and support a wide range of needs within school communities. Christy brings this mindset to her consulting work at the ESC, serving as a listener and assessor when partnering with colleagues, schools, and districts. She strives to see the big picture and seeks first to understand needs before offering thoughtful and intentional recommendations.
