Meghan is a School Climate Consultant in the Student Wellness Department of the Educational Service Center (ESC) of Northeast Ohio. Prior to working at the ESC, Meghan worked as a Special Education and Student Support Coordinator at Urban Community School, as a Special Education Supervisor, Assistant Building Administrator and Behavior Specialist for the Lake County ESC, and as an Intervention Specialist and PBIS Coach for the Geauga County ESC.
Meghan has over 12 years of experience using Applied Behavior Analysis to serve the needs of children with disabilities in the school setting as a Classroom Behavior Therapist and as an Intervention Specialist. Her work has been focused on writing alternative curriculum, developing classroom management systems, implementing intervention strategies to ensure inclusive practice, monitoring and evaluating positive behavior support systems, and coaching staff through data analysis. Meghan has been a leader on multiple building and district teams working towards the effective creation of a multi-tiered system of support in schools and communities that help children achieve academic success and gain lifelong skills.
Meghan's primary responsibilities with the ESC include facilitation and coaching of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, and providing technical assistance and professional development in various areas including PBIS, prevention, restorative practice, culturally-responsive teaching, mental health collaboration, and evidence-based strategy implementation.
Meghan lives in University Heights with her husband, Cyril, and has two children: a daughter just beginning Kindergarten and a son who is in his first year at The College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts. Meghan has lived in Cleveland for 20 years and enjoys running, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
