Biographical Information:
Matt joined SST3 in 2025 as a CTE Consultant, promoting equitable access to career-technical education for students with disabilities and assisting school districts in providing special education and related services within the context of career-technical education.
Before joining SST3, Matt worked at Positive Education Program since 1997, initially performing various classroom roles and responsibilities before identifying a passion for career development and transition. Matt provided special education transition services, guiding students & families through the graduation process, particularly competency and readiness components. He helped students prepare for post-secondary options in training, education, employment, and independent living. Matt is experienced in College Credit Plus Programming and workforce development. He maintains long-term relationships with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, as well as various additional community providers and resources. Matt believes "Intelligence can be taught & all individuals are capable of learning, children should be helped to be good at something, especially schoolwork." (Nicholas Hobbs, Re-Ed principles).
Matt is a lifelong resident of Northeast Ohio, having graduated from Mayfield City Schools and the Excel Tech program. Matt attended the University of Toledo for undergraduate studies and Cleveland State University for post-graduate studies. Matt maintains a DEW Pupil Services/School Counselor license & CSWMFT Board LPCC license.
Matt enjoys following local High School sports and coached Middle School wrestling, football & track for over ten years. Matt resides in South Euclid with his wife, Heather, their two daughters, Mikaela & Kendall, and their dog, Chloe.
