Secondary Transition Network

Description:  

The SST3 Transition Network will meet four times per year to share relevant and updated information related to transition services and graduation pathways. Resources will be shared from ODEW, NTACT-C, OCALI, Ohio Employment First, and other agencies or organizations that are pertinent to secondary transition planning.

Topics for discussion will be driven by the group attending the network meetings.

Network meeting topics will include:
  • Use and completion of the National Technical Assistance Center for Transition-The Collaborative (NTACT-C) Predictor Indicator Self-Assessment (PISA).

  • Development, implementation, and monitoring of a district-level improvement plan based on the results of PISA.

  • LEAs with Indicator 1 and/or 2 findings (s), as well as those with service delivery agreements including grant activity #2, will receive ongoing site-based coaching and support in completing the PISA and implementing the improvement plans.

  • Community- based secondary transition partner agencies, such as the County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, Ohio Means Jobs, Employment Collaborative, and vendors of industry-recognized credentials, will also be invited to make short presentations to the network.

  • For LEAs with Indicator 1 and/or 2 findings(s), as well as those with service delivery agreements including grant activity #2 will receive ongoing site-based support in collaborating with agency partners.

  • A portion of each network meeting will be devoted to Kohler’s Taxonomy 2.0 Indicators, and there will also be time for network meetings to participate in a community of practice session.

  • Indicator 13 Checklist monitoring system development. 

  •  For LEAs with Indicator 1 and/or 2 findings (s), and those with service delivery agreements including grant activity #2 will receive ongoing site-based support in Indicator 13 Checklist monitoring system development.
